People ripped apart by a tiger, leaving behind a baby. Before Shere Khan could kill him too, the panther Bagheera takes him to safety, to live with the wolves. He sees courage in the baby's eyes. Mowgli learns to be a wolf or at least tries to. He learns about the jungle and their sacred, ancient laws. Baloo the tells him to run like a wolf, on all fours, because he's training for the Running (a tradition to earn a place in the pack). But when Mowgli fails and uses fire to save the wolves from Shere Khan, he's cast out and the humans take him to the village as their prisoner. The humans are bipeds with fire, like in the Valley, we have fire near our Bird to fuel us with knowledge. The wolves fear this "magic" of man - they do not know or make fire, instead they are in the wild where they find plenty of water (in the Valley River is near our four-legged animal). Mowgli learns the way of humans, his mind soars in ways it didn't before. There is a woman that treats him like a son, there's dancing and other children, there are tools. In the end it is by uniting the two worlds that Mowgli is able to defeat and kill Shere Khan, the tiger that represents the anger living within the jungle. Mowgli calls upon the help from elephants, wolves and uses a knife - a tool he gained from the humans. At last the jungle (the Valley) is at peace and lead by a new chief, one that is complete, having united both parts of himself: both man and wolf, neither man nor wolf.

Description of blog
Sometimes I write about the Valley. It is a type of meditation that was developed by Carlo Lopez. You quiet the mind and let your spirit speak to you through elements of the Valley; River, Fire, Lion, your bird to the left, your four-legged animal to the right, to name a few. It is a journey worth making.

Cycle of howls
Wolf looks at the ground, at our feet, and feels the Terra under her paws. Every step we make, we feel it as if it was coming inside us from contact. As if we were deep in it. She should howl, we should howl, others are doing it, but comes only a low sound. We feel deeper in Terra, and the moon that calls us, and suddenly we lift our head and howl.
And the moon feels the Metallo in our howl.
And the moon is shining on Acqua, moving it on land.
And Acqua breathes on Legno, growing tall.
And Legno one day falls, and Fuoco sparks in it.
And Fuoco quiets down to ashes and rejoins Terra.
I hear Wolf howling again.

The garden in Autumn
Our garden was warm
and the air thick with
the smell of damp earth
and the dirt was painted
with the leaves of fall
and the green of spirit
and the air thick with
the smell of damp earth
and the dirt was painted
with the leaves of fall
and the green of spirit

The morning
You were warmer than warm,
your hair softer than soft,
your kisses sweeter than sweet,
and I didn't want to go
even for a moment,
I didn't want my face away
from your chest.
But I went on in the day,
feeling still your warmth,
and your hair,
and your kisses
that never left
your hair softer than soft,
your kisses sweeter than sweet,
and I didn't want to go
even for a moment,
I didn't want my face away
from your chest.
But I went on in the day,
feeling still your warmth,
and your hair,
and your kisses
that never left

Coming closer
It was like
your smell came
to search me
and I leaned in
closer and
closer
wanting to
kiss you
your smell came
to search me
and I leaned in
closer and
closer
wanting to
kiss you

Always summer
Yes, I miss the summer
cooking under the sun,
your hand in mine,
tasting the salt of life
on your lips.
But I feel it still,
can taste it still.
We are there and
we are here,
in every moment,
in every tomorrow,
let go of your worries love,
feel this with me
cooking under the sun,
your hand in mine,
tasting the salt of life
on your lips.
But I feel it still,
can taste it still.
We are there and
we are here,
in every moment,
in every tomorrow,
let go of your worries love,
feel this with me
